Hanson outlined that the government should be focussed on cutting spending, not increasing taxes. One Nation’s stance is to cut $90 billion in government bureaucracy; including withdrawing from the UN Paris Agreement, and review and redirect Indigenous affairs spending to where it’s truly needed. Joined by IPA’s Daniel Wild, the panel warned that Australia’s trillion-dollar debt can only be tackled through smarter spending cuts and economic growth — not by hitting families harder at the checkout.
