The legislation—supported by Labor and the Greens—limits the number of firearms West Australians can own, enforces mandatory medical checks, and grants sweeping powers to the minister. Despite a disallowance motion being narrowly defeated (17–19), protesters vowed to keep fighting. One Nation WA leader Rod Caddies says this is the time to stand up and fight for what the people want.
