The funds will enable farmers to improve dam management across Tasmania, with some of the funds allocated for fencing off dams and revegetation. Fencing off dams to manage livestock access can benefit water quality and surrounding vegetation. It also reduces evaporation and improves biodiversity.
This funding delivered to Landcare Tasmania is part of the Albanese Labor Government’s over $2 billion investment to ensure farmers across the country can confidently face our climate future.
