Announced by Senator Pauline Hanson in Tamworth, Joyce will continue representing New England under the One Nation banner until the next election, where he will lead the party’s New South Wales Senate ticket. Senator Hanson said Joyce’s move has been a long time coming. She welcomed his experience, his straight-talking style, and his determination to stand up for farmers and regional Australians.

According to Hanson, Joyce strengthens One Nation’s growing influence in Parliament and reflects the frustration many voters feel toward the major parties. Hanson noted that One Nation’s support is rising across the country as more Australians seek leadership on issues that affect their daily lives—scrapping net zero, addressing record immigration levels, and tackling the soaring cost of living.

She said Australians know exactly where she stands, and in recent weeks Joyce has made his own position just as clear. The announcement comes shortly after One Nation released its new energy policy, which commits to dismantling net zero, withdrawing from the Paris Agreement, and lowering power bills—key factors in Joyce’s decision to join. Hanson said she looks forward to working with Joyce to expose and oppose the Albanese Government’s agenda: “We won’t stop fighting to end mass immigration, dismantle net zero, and lower the cost of living.

We won’t stop fighting for Australians who want their country back.” Do you like this page? Share Get the latest from One Nation! Optional email code The One Nation political party was launched on the 11th April 1997 at Ipswich by its founder, Pauline Hanson.
