Win for the people as Hanson stands her ground on A Super Progressive Movie One Nation January 29, 2026 Uncancelled! Win for the people as Hanson stands her ground on A Super Progressive Movie 29 January 2026 Melbourne and Hobart audiences will get to see A Super Progressive Movie after all thanks to One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson standing her ground against super progressive ‘cancel culture’.
Senator Hanson said the reversal of the movie’s cancellation was a win for the Australian people against the radical leftists infesting Melbourne’s streets. “The irony was so thick it was almost funnier than the movie itself, which starts off describing life in the super progressive bubble called ‘Naarm’ after super progressives cancelled its original name: Melbourne,” she said.
“We were initially told the cancellation was due to some petty administrative detail but ultimately it was revealed administrators were concerned the event wouldn’t be ‘safe’. “But here’s the truth: it’s not me or One Nation or the movie creating any issue with safety. It was the super progressives infesting Melbourne’s streets and trying to cancel us creating the safety issue.
So I stood my ground, refused to accept excuses, and in a win for the people over cancel culture the screenings in Melbourne are back on. “I’m looking forward to more super progressive attempts to cancel A Super Progressive Movie. Publicity is expensive and time-consuming, so we’ll take all the free help we can get.
“All of the premiere screenings of A Super Progressive Movie across Australia have been sold out; in Melbourne we put on two screenings to accommodate the crowds. Holly Valance’s new song that complements the movie, Kiss Kiss My A__, has topped iTunes. ““Australians are clamouring to see this film.
People drove for hours and even caught flights to be at the Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra premieres. We’re looking forward to the sold-out premieres in Perth and Adelaide too. They’re coming from far away to see the two screenings in Melbourne tonight, and I’m very pleased to say the movie is back on!” Senator Hanson said the movie would not screen in Darwin, the only Australian capital city missing out.
