Statement – Update on Telstra outage

The Triple Zero Custodian has updated me on the progress of welfare checks referred to state emergency services due to non-response. As of this evening, the overwhelming majority of welfare checks have occurred, with no adverse outcomes reported. The Government is waiting on reports from an outstanding 13 welfare checks from states and territories.
