In Parliament yesterday, Pauline expressed the extreme urgency of ensuring that Australians are protected from the 13 ISIS fighters currently residing in an Iraqi prison who are due to be released shortly and are likely to try and enter our country. Word has it that the One Nation bill that attempts to redraw the law to protect Australians from these terrorists is gaining support across Parliament.
It seems that some MPs and Senators from other parties may be prepared to support our legislation. As we have said before on this platform, the majority of other Western countries are doing far more than our government is currently doing to block these sorts of terrorists from re-entering their countries. The UK, for example, has successfully stripped citizenship from ISIS brides and ISIS fighters.
The Labor government here, on the other hand, is quite happy to sit back and falsely claim that its hands are bound by constitutional restrictions. The Australian people deserve a government that will leave no stone unturned when it comes to keeping them safe. One Nation would ensure that is always the case.
