Criminal Code Amendment (Hate Crimes) Bill 2024

Mr BURKE (Watson—Minister for the Arts, Minister for Home Affairs, Minister for Cyber Security, Minister for Immigration and Multicultural Affairs and Leader of the House) (19:49): The government believes that these particular crimes are already covered by the offences that are contained within the act, but it certainly doesn't believe any harm is done by this amendment and therefore is happy to support it.
