Senator CASH (Western Australia—Leader of the Opposition in the Senate) (13:06): Can you confirm that if a person is convicted of the new offence under proposed section 80.2BB of the Criminal Code—the one we just referred to—then, based on the amendments passed, they will be subject to the mandatory minimum sentence of 12 months imprisonment.
