MATTERS OF PUBLIC IMPORTANCE

The ACTING DEPUTY PRESIDENT ( Senator O'Sullivan ) (17:43): A letter has been received from Senator McGrath: Pursuant to standing order 75, I propose that the following matter of public importance be submitted to the Senate for discussion: "Hard-working households, families and small businesses are suffering under an Albanese Labor Government, and things will only get worse under an Albanese-Bandt minority government." Is the proposal supported?

More than the number of senators required by the standing orders having risen in their places— The ACTING DEPUTY PRESIDENT: With the concurrence of the Senate, the clerks will set the clock in line with the informal arrangements made by the whips.
