House of RepresentativesWednesday 23 July 2025

QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Mr TED O'BRIEN (Fairfax—Deputy Leader of the Opposition) (14:32): My question is to the Prime Minister. Will the government rule out ever taxing unrealised capital gains on anything beyond superannuation? Mr Bowen interjecting— The SPEAKER: The Minister for Climate Change and Energy will cease interjecting.

The deputy leader asked his question in silence, and he was given the courtesy of the House, as he deserves. The same courtesy is going to be applied to the Treasurer.
