Senator McDONALD (Queensland) (14:44): Given the gravity of the situations in Mount Isa and Townsville, will the federal government follow the Queensland government in putting forward a proposal to secure the future of the smelter, the refinery and, importantly, the thousands of jobs that are now at risk?
