Universities Accord (Cutting Student Debt by 20 Per Cent) Bill 2025

Senator WALSH (Victoria—Minister for Early Childhood Education and Minister for Youth) (11:48): There are a range of revenues that support the budget. The policy is fully costed. It's been put to the Australian people. It's been overwhelmingly supported. We are here today to consider a bill that reduces student debt by 20 per cent. Like many government measures, this measure is provided for in the budget.
