QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Senator RUSTON (South Australia—Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Senate) (14:18): The Prime Minister told Australians on at least 71 occasions that it's 'free to see a GP' or: All you need is your Medicare card, not your credit card. But the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare data says that Australians paid almost $2 billion in out-of-pocket costs to see a GP in the year to May 2025.

Minister, when will this $2 billion in out-of-pocket costs be reduced to $0, as promised by the Prime Minister?
