Senator ASKEW (Tasmania—Chief Opposition Whip in the Senate) (15:54): At the request of Senator Dean Smith, I move: That the Senate— (a) notes that: (i) the response to order for the production of documents no. 41, relating to the release of documents regarding Climate Change Authority advice on potential national greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets, as agreed to on 29 July 2025, was due by midday on Thursday, 31 July 2025, and (ii) the Minister representing the Minister for Climate Change and Energy has failed to comply with the order; and (b) requires the Minister representing the Minister for Climate Change and Energy to comply with the order by no later than midday on Wednesday, 27 August 2025.
