Senator WATT (Queensland—Minister for the Environment and Water) (18:52): The very smart people sitting to my left spend a lot of time trawling through evidence that's provided by Senate committees. I'm sure the minister considered that evidence as well, and the ultimate result was that we didn't accept that evidence. We decided it was a good idea to deliver on a commitment that the Australian people voted for to stop penalty rates being cut.
