National Health Amendment (Cheaper Medicines) Bill 2025
Senator McALLISTER (New South Wales—Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme) (12:15): I can inform you that we are aware that, as new medicines are added to the PBS, some of them relate to advanced therapies. They respond to very significant improvements in technology which are delivering better outcomes for patients, and some of the costs associated with the PBS will inevitably be associated with the listing of some of those advanced therapies.
