National Health Amendment (Cheaper Medicines) Bill 2025

Senator McALLISTER (New South Wales—Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme) (12:58): Your question is very general. Our government, of course, engages with elements of the US administration on many occasions and for many reasons. I'm not in a position to give you detailed information about every conversation that might have been had at every time, but I can refer you to my earlier answer where I was very clear that the Australian government is keenly aware of the significance of the PBS to Australians and to the Australian public healthcare system.

We are deeply committed to preserving it because of its utility over so many decades for all of our people.
