Aged Care and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2025, Aged Care (Accommodation Payment Security) Levy Amendment Bill 2025

Senator ALLMAN-PAYNE (Queensland) (19:44): As noted in the previous contribution, the Greens did move an amendment earlier today seeking to exclude redress payments. We would urge the Senate, given that they have a second opportunity this evening, to right that wrong, to vote in favour of Senator Thorpe's amendment. If it's the case that the government thinks that redress payments should be excluded, this is a good place to start, and we would welcome other legislation coming before the Senate so we could expand it beyond the Aged Care Act.
