Appropriation Bill (No. 1) 2025-2026

Ms COLLINS (Franklin—Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry) (13:29): I know that there's very little time left for this debate, but I do want to acknowledge all of the speakers and contributions and the support for our farmers. As I've said repeatedly in this building and in many other places across the globe, our farmers are people we should be incredibly proud of.

Our farmers, our fishers and our foresters are producing some of the best product across the globe. It's globally renowned for a reason, and that's our biosecurity and our food safety. What we want to do is work with farmers to ensure that they can continue to feed Australians and export their product right across the globe.

I want to thank everyone in the room for their contribution, but I really want to thank Australian producers for the great Australian product that they produce that so much of the globe wants. Proposed expenditure agreed to. Sitting suspended from 13:30 to 16:00
