QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

I think the Leader of the Opposition was asking about a specific amendment, but the minister is giving detail about broader amendments. She can address those as part of the answer. She's got to remain directly relevant.

I can appreciate the Leader of the Opposition would like a specific answer. If the minister was talking about another complete topic, it could not be classed as directly relevant. I note the beginning of her answer specifically addressed that part of the question, so she has addressed that part of the question, about the specific.

Now she's giving further information. Under the standing orders, she's addressed the specific part of the question directly. Now she's being directly relevant.

I am going to listen carefully. She's talking about amendments, and I want to make sure that's directly relevant to the topic she was asked about.
