STATEMENTS

Ms PENFOLD (Lyne) (15:20): During question time— The SPEAKER: Does the member claim to be misrepresented? Ms PENFOLD: Yes, I do—most callously, Mr Speaker. The SPEAKER: You may proceed.

Ms PENFOLD: During question time, the Prime Minister made an interjection to state that an urgent care clinic in Taree would be a waste. I have written to the Minister for Health, Disability and Ageing twice on the matter and I've spoken with my local primary health network, who have also confirmed that a clinic in Taree is a high priority. If urgent care clinics are a priority for this government, why isn't Taree good enough for one?

The SPEAKER: Hang on a second, Member for Lyne. I'll hear from the Prime Minister. That is an absolute abuse of standing orders.

You were not misrepresented. I don't know what was said. You simply can't get up in this chamber and disagree with something or make a claim.

That is a very serious breach of standing orders.
