MATTERS OF PUBLIC IMPORTANCE
The SPEAKER (15:23): I've received a letter from the honourable the Leader of the Nationals and I've also received a letter from the honourable member for Hunter proposing that definite matters of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion. As required by standing order 46, I get to choose the matter which is, in my opinion, the most urgent and important.
Today, that is the one proposed by the honourable the Leader of the Nationals, namely: This Government devastating industries and manufacturing across Australia. I therefore call upon those honourable members who approve of the proposed discussion to rise in their places.
