Senator ASKEW (Tasmania—Chief Opposition Whip in the Senate) (16:20): At the request of Senator McKenzie, I move: (1) That the Senate notes that: (a) in accordance with Senate resolution 44, government responses to committee reports are required to be tabled within 3 months of a report being tabled; (b) the Select Committee on Commonwealth Bilateral Air Service Agreements tabled its report on 9 October 2023; and (c) a government response has not been tabled even though it was due by 9 January 2024.

(2) That there be laid on the table by the Minister representing the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, by no later than 10 am on Monday, 3 November 2025, the outstanding government response to the report of the Select Committee on Commonwealth Bilateral Air Service Agreements. The DEPUTY PRESIDENT: The question is that general business notice of motion No. 177 moved by Senator Askew at the request of Senator McKenzie be agreed to.
