QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Senator KOVACIC (New South Wales) (14:03): On Friday the Sydney Morning Herald reported that the Prime Minister's office barred journalists from asking questions about the corrupt and criminal conduct of the CFMEU at an event the Prime Minister was attending. How much bigger do the scandals need to get before the Prime Minister will start answering questions and come clean on just how intertwined the Australian Labor Party and the CFMEU actually are?

The PRESIDENT: Thank you, Senator Kovacic. Minister Wong. Senator McKenzie: Why does it take the media to actually get you to act?

The PRESIDENT: Senator McKenzie, I've called the minister.
