Senator WHITTEN (Western Australia) (14:47): That sounded like a no. The White House has published on its website this quote: Australia's superannuation funds will increase investments in the United States to US$1.44 trillion (AU$2.2t) by 2035. That's US dollars.

To me, that sounds like a very definitive statement. Superannuation is not the government's money to use; it belongs to the Australian people and should be invested only for the benefit of its members. Why is the government using the Australian people's super as a political football?
