QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE
Senator WONG (South Australia—Minister for Foreign Affairs and Leader of the Government in the Senate) (14:20): That's a ridiculous question. Generally, even if I don't agree, I try to treat questions with respect, but, frankly, that is ridiculous. We are trying to get reform.
Minister Watt has been, I think, in the media a fair amount talking about this. We want a reform that delivers for both the environment and the economy, because that's the obligation of the government. That's what we want.
So I reject the assertions in your question. I reject also the assertion that somehow this is about whose team you are on. The team we're on is that of the Australian people, and that means we want legislation and environmental reforms which ensure we can deliver for both the environment and for the economy.
That's what our government is pressing for, and we invite the crossbench and the coalition to do the same. The PRESIDENT: Senator Waters, second supplementary?
