Telecommunications Legislation Amendment (Triple Zero Custodian and Emergency Calling Powers) Bill 2025

Senator GREEN (Queensland—Assistant Minister for Tourism, Assistant Minister for Pacific Island Affairs and Assistant Minister for Northern Australia) (12:42): I did address this amendment last night on the issue of reporting. There are substantial reporting provisions drafted in the bill. We believe they are sufficient and ensure accountability to the minister.

There are, of course, accountability measures in the broader Telecommunications Act that we will rely on.
