Senator ASKEW (Tasmania—Chief Opposition Whip in the Senate) (16:19): At the request of Senator Bragg, I move: That the Senate notes that: (a) orders for the production of documents nos 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 119 and 120 (the orders), agreed to by the Senate on 27 August 2025, have not been complied with; (b) the Treasurer, in his response to the orders, advised that the orders would be responded to as soon as practicable; (c) eight weeks have passed since the orders were agreed to by the Senate; (d) it is in contempt of the Senate to fail to comply with the orders; and (e) requires that the Minister representing the Treasurer comply with the orders and produce the requested documents by midday on Wednesday, 29 October 2025.
