QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE
Mr TED O'BRIEN (Fairfax—Deputy Leader of the Opposition) (14:31): My question goes to the Treasurer, and it follows his answer to my previous question, where he showered himself with compliments but failed to take responsibility for today's shocking inflation figures. Given that government spending is running four times faster than the economy, with the highest level of spending outside a recession in nearly 40 years, keeping interest rates higher for longer, will the Treasurer now concede it is time to stop Labor's spending spree?
