Senator SHOEBRIDGE (New South Wales) (11:37): I'm content to proceed. I have a few short questions for the minister that may resolve all of my concerns. Minister, obviously one of the concerns that have been raised by the Internet Association of Australia is that this legislation is being brought forward before the conclusion of the Home Affairs review into surveillance.

Are you in a position to provide the parliament with an update on where that review is and what the expected timeframe for the provision of the recommendations from that review is?
