Senator PATERSON (Victoria) (14:00): My question is to the Minister representing the Treasurer, Senator Gallagher. Today, the inflation rate jumped to 3.2 per cent. Does the government admit that having spending growth running at four times the rate of the economy and debt set to reach $1.2 trillion is fuelling inflation and hurting all Australians?
