QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Senator McALLISTER (New South Wales—Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme) (14:28): I thank Senator Cox for the question, because we know this will be a big change for many general practices across Australia. That's why, in September this year, the government launched a calculator to allow practice managers and GPs to get a more accurate estimate of the financial impacts of moving to a fully bulk-billed model.

It provides practice managers and GPs with tailored income assessments based on their consultation mix, their current billing model, their location and their concessional patient proportion, to support decision-making by comparing different scenarios. It's helping practices and GPs with mixed billing practices to see how they will be better off when they switch to a fully bulk-billed model.

That is why we're confident that hundreds of practices will be moving to fully bulk-billed services from this weekend, because they know it's good for patients and they know it is good for their bottom line. The PRESIDENT: Senator Cox, second supplementary?
