QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Senator FARRELL (South Australia—Minister for Trade and Tourism, Special Minister of State and Deputy Leader of the Government in the Senate) (14:33): Thank you, Senator Tyrrell, for your first supplementary question. What this government tries to do is to provide solutions to the problems which we encounter in government. We do that in a variety of ways, and when we respond to an issue and respond to a report we want to make sure that we do it in a way which provides the solution that we're looking for.

Regretfully, in government sometimes things take longer than you would like them to. But can I assure you, Senator Tyrrell, and your electors in Tasmania that this government understands the problems that have been created in recent times by the failure of the triple 0 service. As a government, we will act and respond responsibly to find a solution.

(Time expired) The PRESIDENT: Senator Tyrrell, second supplementary?
