Senator McCARTHY (Northern Territory—Minister for Indigenous Australians) (14:43): Well, clearly the senator didn't hear my response to the previous question in regard to what the minister has done, but I will go further. The administration has already taken significant steps to rid the union and the industry of corruption, including removing or accepting the resignations of— Senator McKenzie: Go watch 60 Minutes!

Senator McCARTHY: Look, you might sit around watching TV, Senator, but our minister is doing a job. She's doing her work. Yes, she is.

So, including removing or accepting the resignations of more than 60 staff, developing significant new policies— Senator McKenzie interjecting— The PRESIDENT: Senator McKenzie, what is it that I need to say to you to get you to be quiet? Your interjections are disorderly and disrespectful, and I've called and called and I've pleaded with you and I've asked and I've ordered, and you've ignored it all.

Leave the chamber if you can't sit here quietly. Minister McCarthy. Senator McCARTHY: I would gladly repeat that, because the administration has taken significant steps to rid the union and the industry of corruption, including removing or accepting the resignations of more than 60 staff; developing significant new policies, a national code of conduct and a statement of expectations for all staff; and establishing several inquiries into state branches of the CFMEU.
