Senator McKIM (Tasmania—Australian Greens Whip) (12:02): I move the amendment that has been circulated in my name: Omit paragraphs (c) and (d), substitute: (c) the Criminal Code Amendment (State Sponsors of Terrorism) Bill 2025 be referred immediately to the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 19 November 2025; and (d) the provisions of the Defence Amendment (Parliamentary Joint Committee on Defence) Bill 2025 be referred immediately to the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 19 November 2025".
