Freedom of Information Amendment Bill 2025

Dr HAINES (Indi) (16:14): I thank the Attorney-General. Attorney, I still can't see a case that charging for access to freedom of information will in any way compensate for the cost that the Commonwealth is claiming it's costing them right now. I'm wondering: what other justification, other than the cost, is charging a fee about?
