STATEMENTS

Under the standing orders, it is a personal explanation. We've dealt with this matter before. If it's a collective—the opposition, a government, previous governments—it's hard to take offence on the part of everyone.

I'm just trying to work with the member for Wannon here. If the Prime Minister had said, 'The member for Wannon had not supported'—that's the way the standing order is intended. It's not a global collective effort.
