Australia's Voice's circulated amendments— (1)—Schedule 1, item 3, page 4 (lines 10 to 14), omit the paragraph beginning "A major SVOD service's Australian content expenditure requirement is" in section 121FT, substitute: A major SVOD service's Australian content expenditure requirement is based on the revenue derived by the service from Australia.
(2)—Schedule 1, item 3, page 9 (lines 9 to 11), omit the definition of total program expenditure for Australia in section 121FU. (3)—Schedule 1, item 3, page 16 (lines 1 to 9), omit subsections 121FZF(3) and (4). (4)—Schedule 1, item 3, page 17 (lines 20 to 28), omit subsections 121FZG(7) and (8).
(5)—Schedule 1, item 3, page 22 (lines 14 to 26), omit subsections 121FZL(1) and (2), substitute: (1) The Australian contentexpenditure requirement for a major SVOD service for an SVOD reporting year (the relevant year) is an amount equal to 20% of the revenue derived by the service from Australia in the relevant year. Note: Revenue derived by a service from Australia may include, for example, revenue derived from: (a) paying subscribers in Australia; and (b) advertising to people in Australia.
(8)—Schedule 1, item 3, page 24 (lines 31 and 32), omit paragraph 121FZO(1)(c). (9)—Schedule 1, item 4, page 36 (table item dealing with Determination that an amount is total program expenditure for Australia of an online content service under subsection 121FZF(3)), omit the table item. (10)—Schedule 1, item 4, page 36 (table item dealing with Refusal to determine that an amount is not total program expenditure for Australia of an online content service under subsection 121FZF(4)), omit the table item.
(11)—Schedule 1, item 13, page 40 (lines 14 and 15), omit the definition of total program expenditure for Australia. (12)—Schedule 1, item 15, page 40 (lines 25 to 31), omit subitem (1), substitute: (1) In working out, for the purposes of Part 8C of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992, an online content service's qualifying expenditure amount for the commencement year, have regard to expenditure incurred at any time in the commencement year (including any part of the commencement year that is before the commencement day).
