The PRESIDENT (19:53): I will deal first with the second reading amendment circulated by Pauline Hanson's One Nation. The question is that the amendment on sheet 3506 be agreed to. Pauline Hanson's One Nation circulated amendment— Omit all words after "That", substitute: "(a) the Senate notes that: (i) together, the bill, explanatory memorandum and supplementary explanatory memorandum total 339 pages; (ii) the bill has not been referred to committee to allow for proper scrutiny; and (iii) many senators have been provided with fewer staff by the Albanese Government in the 48th Parliament and have not had sufficient time to review the bill; and (b) further consideration of the bill be made an order of the day for the first sitting day of 2026".
