Senator McALLISTER (New South Wales—Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme) (13:20): This is set out in the legislation, but the Prime Minister consults with recognised political parties in the House of Representatives. I will seek clarification, but it is also the case that the members of the Senate are appointed by resolution of the Senate on the nomination of the Leader of the Government in the Senate.
