Superannuation (Building a Stronger and Fairer Super System) Imposition Bill 2026

Dr CHALMERS (Rankin—Treasurer) (09:09): I move: That the bill be now read a second time. Today I am also introducing the Superannuation (Building a Stronger and Fairer Super System) Imposition Bill 2026. This bill works in conjunction with the Treasury Laws Amendment (Building a Stronger and Fairer Super System) Bill 2026 to make our super system stronger, fairer and more sustainable.

For all of the reasons I outlined in my speech on that bill, I commend it to the House. Full details, once again, of the measure are contained in the explanatory memorandum. Debate adjourned.
