Senator THORPE (Victoria—Independent VIC Whip) (17:18): I seek leave to move a motion circulated in my name. Leave not granted. Senator THORPE: Pursuant to contingent notice, I move: That so much of the standing orders be suspended as would prevent me moving me a motion to provide for the consideration of a matter, namely a motion to allow a motion relating to cultural safety in the Senate to be moved immediately and determined without amendment.

The PRESIDENT: The question is that the motion moved by Senator Thorpe be agreed to.
