As I said previously, the bill does not exclude procedural fairness safeguards, and, accordingly, all procedural fairness obligations will apply automatically to the relevant decisions.

The bill does not provide for merits review of suspension or termination decisions, which is consistent with Commonwealth statutes. This is because decisions to suspend, appoint or terminate statutory office holders relate to decisions concerning performance of specified functions that require particular expertise.
