Senator CASH (Western Australia—Leader of the Opposition in the Senate) (13:54): I'm a little confused. I'm asking questions about a bill that I've read, yes. That's exactly right, and so far in relation to each of my questions all you've confirmed is a culture of secrecy.

That is why I'm asking the questions. That is what a committee stage in the Senate is all about, or it was about until you decided to bypass most of them. I just need to understand this now.

Are you saying there is no requirement, no public notification by way of gazette, when the Director of Safeguards at ASNO is suspended?
