Senator GREEN (Queensland—Assistant Minister for Tourism, Assistant Minister for Pacific Island Affairs and Assistant Minister for Northern Australia) (14:04): As I've said previously, Senator Cash, and as you would be aware, under new section 3A, subsection (1), the minister may give direction to the Office of Parliamentary Counsel about the performance of its functions, but a direction under subsection (1) must be of a general nature only.
