QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE
Senator RUSTON (South Australia—Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Senate) (14:12): My question is to the Minister representing the Minister for Aged Care and Seniors. Home-care workers rely on fuel every day to reach older Australians, especially in rural and regional communities, yet providers are warning that the federal government's fuel emergency framework doesn't recognise them as essential fuel users.
Can you confirm whether home-care workers are excluded under the Liquid Fuel Emergency Act and what immediate action the government will take to guarantee that vulnerable older Australians will be able to get the care they need?
