QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Senator WONG (South Australia—Minister for Foreign Affairs and Leader of the Government in the Senate) (14:04): We are very conscious of the experience that Australians are having with both higher prices and challenges in getting fuel in certain areas. We see this. We are working to address it.

This is time for adult, sober, serious policy, not what Senator McKenzie is engaging in right now. Senator Cash interjecting— The PRESIDENT: Order! Order on my left!

Senator WONG: As I was saying, those opposite might seek to play some politics with this. We think this is very serious. Opposition senators interjecting— Senator WONG: Senator McKenzie, after your performance yesterday, no-one here thinks you're serious.

Opposition senators interjecting— The PRESIDENT: Order on my left! Order, Senator Cash! Senator WONG: Senator Cash, I'm responding to the interjection.

What I would say to you, Senator, is that we recognise that this is a very significant shock to energy markets, and that's why we're working to address— (Time expired) The PRESIDENT: Senator Hume, second supplementary?
