QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Senator CADELL (New South Wales—Nationals Whip in the Senate) (14:38): Minister, I was at the Murray-Darling Basin Authority meeting last year. It went for two days, and you sent a 10-minute video, so thank you for that. Recently, Senator Canavan, shadow minister for water Michael McCormack and Nationals candidate Brad Robertson visited Narrandera, where they were told of the shocking state of their tap water.

The difference between the water we can get in Canberra from the tap and the water they get in Narrandera is visible to anyone who looks on my desk. The people in Narrandera have applied for funding from the National Water Grid so they can have clean drinking water again. When will your government fund a water treatment plant for the people of Narrandera?
