Dr RYAN (Kooyong) (15:15): My question is to the Minister for Health and Ageing. After months of sustained advocacy and almost 8,000 campaign emails, I am thrilled that the budget includes an additional $508 million for medical research. This means that disbursements from the Medical Research Future Fund will increase to $1 billion a year from 2030.

It's a huge win for the medical research community, but it is contingent on your government releasing the long-overdue national health and medical research strategy. Minister, when are we going to see the strategy?
